EXCEPTIONALLY NICEK B & P EARLY SWEET IRON FINESINGLEMOUNTED ARROW SHANK SPURS & STRAPS CIRCA 1915. The partnership of Kelly Bros & Parker produced someof the finesthand forged, hand engraved and silver mounted bits and spurs ever made. The partnership lasted from 1912 - 1919. Their hand made creationswere expertly crafted to provide superb quality and function,beauty and eye appealand lasting durability. The spurs were built to last a lifetime and they did just that and then some. These pattern # 48Texas style arrow shank spurs & straps are 100 plus yearsold, have been cowboy used and meticulously cared for. The fine silver mounting is in remarkably fine condition and the spurs are in sound,excellent and all original condition. The spurs are 7 inches in overall length with a 3" depth and 3 1/4" spread at the boot entry point. The heel band is 7/8" wide with stationary, upturned strap buttons, a 2 1/2" downturned arrow shank and a 6 point # 31 rowel that is 2 1/2" in diameter. The fine silver mounting consists an intricately hand engraved 2" x 7/8" silver overlaidscroll on the heel band, a 2" x 1/4" hand engraved downturned silver overlaid arrow on the shank and a hand engraved fine silver overlaid stationary heart button, all on the onside surfaces. The 6 - 7 oz bridle leather straps are,well used, strong and pliablebut probably not original. These spurs would be a treasured addition to any fine collection or they will "Cowboy Up" for current use. Dimensions are quoted+ or - 1/4".
