    For $80, it is an excellent purchase. As realistic as a non firing replica can be-heavy (it's a cannon) looks like a weather worn Civil War weapon, & has good basic working parts. Would have given it 5*, but the caliber of the barrel does'nt match the caliber of the cylinder. I might be being a little picky on that, & besides, I really like it. Highly recommended for Civil War buffs.

    nice weapon

    the weapon is very realistic and has very nice heft to it. i would like to see the percussion cap nipples a little more detailed and it would be nice if the hammer lever that operates the striker for the shotgun nipple be made workable instead of one solid piece.

    Fantastic Collector's Piece

    An amazing replica that even shares one of the real LeMat's flaws. The replica is weighty and made of a durable steel. The cylinder rotates and the hammer and trigger work as expected. The revolver can be used with snap caps as well but it truly shines as part of a costume. The flaw mentioned was it's loading rod. The rod is used to push bullets into the cylinder but was considered flimsy. If you practice any form of gun spinning then you'll see this ramrod start flying all over. I can only imagine how it would be if you actually fired a real version. Great piece for any collectors and enthusiasts slot the American West, the Civil War, or even WestWorld.

    Really nice quality for the price.

    Denix replicas are usually really nice. This one is particularly well put together for a replica of this type. The hammer half and full pulls back, and the slide loader works like the original. Hammer drops when you pull the trigger, barrel advances. It looks really nice and is very heavy.
