Unusual original Confederate or Militia Musket Rifle Cartridge Box.  Leather flap is 8 inches wide by 5-5/8 inches high.  The box underneath is leather covered cardboard which is 3-7/8" high X 7-3/8" wide.  Leather loop on side of box for bayonet.  It has straps on backside and buckles underneath for shoulder sling.  Inside of box is empty.  Shows used condition.  Was told it could also be Rev. War period.
